Bowling and Fishing!

Another busy week! We had a pretty typical routine this week. Soccer on Monday and then I raced off to church for what has turned into our weekly staff parish meeting. I told them that pretty soon I am not going to know what to do with my Monday nights! We don't have one tomorrow, but Presten has another meeting at church so it will still be busy!

Thursday Presten packed up for his fishing trip and I went down to Rockwoods for a gathering to say goodbye to our Otsego Mayor. He had been mayor for 30 years! Otsego has now appointed our first female mayor-which is very exciting! She serves as a representative on the park and rec board so I have gotten to know her over the last few months.

Friday morning Presten left with Jake and Paul and headed up north for their fishing trip. Presten said that they had a really good time and they all caught a fare amount of fish-mostly bass and northerns. Presten brought some home and we are going try it out next weekend!
I had the kids all weekend and tonight I am exhausted!

On Friday night we had a popcorn party and watched Meet the Robinsons. Jaxson and I had quite the time keeping Vada and Lexi out of the popcorn! Saturday we invited Nishad and Beverly to come bowling with us in Monticello. The boys had a really good time. They play so well together. Then Beverly and Nishad decided to treat us to Pizza-so that was an extra treat!

Saturday night Jaxson helped me make pigs in a blanket for supper-he thought that was sooo cool! Then we spent the night playing candyland, Dora's memory game playing with play-doh and reading books. He missed Dad a lot this weekend -so their were lots of tears! It was a little rainy this weekend so we did not get to play outside as much as I would of liked. On Saturday when I told Jaxson that it was raining out he said, "no it's not mom it is just drizzling".--the things he says!

Vada is just growing up so fast. Still no hair-but it will come! She wants to eat everything now-sometimes this makes it easier for me and sometimes harder. If it is something that I know she can eat then I don't have to make something different, but a lot of the she isn't quite ready for it. Presten has been trying to teach her to say "dada" -she actually does a pretty good job imitating. She tries so hard to keep up with her brother. Thank goodness he does a really good job including her.

Jaxson and Vada also have been having fun helping in the garden-or digging in the dirt! Our strawberries are now turning red so Jaxson has been helping me pick and -of course eat them!

Well I am off to bed early tonight! At least this week is a short week with the 4th of July!

We had a really busy week. On Monday, Jaxson had soccer. He had a little bit of a meltdown. He was having a hard time with Presten being the coach. He wanted his full attention and Presten could not give it to him, so that was tough. Then I was off to church for another staff parish meeting.

Wednesday morning we went to our weekly playgroup at the park. Jaxson has fun seeing all his little friends. Presten had to work late on Wednesday so Jaxson, Vada and I went to the library and then out for pizza. Jaxson thought it was so cool that we got to eat there because we usually bring it home.

On Thursday, Presten had his mission's meeting at church so Jaxson, Vada and I went and played at the park. This week was so nice-we spent almost every minute we could outside. Presten got out and roller bladed some too-he even took Lexi!! Some of the neighbors said that they couldn't watch!:) I would probably have an anxiety attack if I watched him on blades with the dog. I just keep the phone handy in case we have to take a trip to the hospital!

Friday, Presten had his head shaved at work! He had a bet that while he was on vacation that they could not get to a certain percentage as a store and they did! It was a good bet to lose, but he lost his hair!

Friday night we packed up for our camping trip. Presten had to work on Saturday morning so we left when he got home. We just went up to a KOA in Clearwater. It was only about 20 minutes from our house. This was our first trip with Vada and Lexi so we thought one night would be a good start. Lexi can get a little crazy, so we were a little worried. She had a few small barking episodes, but she did surprisingly well. We had a really nice corner site that was really grassy which was nice for her too. Vada struggled a bit. She just did not want to take a nap and she was up several times at night until I brought her into bed with me and she went right to sleep. Jaxson did a great job. He had so much fun swimming, golfing, eating marshmallows and sleeping in the tent! I think that we are going to try and go again in a couple weeks-hopefully it will go as smoothly.

Well we are exhausted and Presten leaves on Friday for his fishing trip with the guys! Have a great week! The Bean's

Here is a cute little video of Jaxson.

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day!!

Well Presten and I both enjoyed a long week off from work! Four of the days we spent doing our garage sale. We did pretty well. We got rid of a lot of clothes. The bigger items I think we are going to put on Craig's list. I am sure that we can find them a good home.

This week was Albertville Friendly days. My parents and sister came up on Friday to help us with the kids during the sale. We went to the carnival on Saturday and Jaxson rode on a couple of rides and played the fishing game where he won a little prize. The was also a softball tournament going on and we watched a few good games.

Saturday was my dad's birthday. We celebrated by going out for dinner at Majors and of course with cake and ice cream!

Sunday we went to the Albertville coronation. Kylie was one of the 10 Miss Junior Albertville finalists. She did a great job and we are very happy for the girls that won.

Vada is finally breaking a tooth! It is about the size of needle head, but it is coming through! She is still attached to me, but I am hoping that maybe she will decide to give me a little bit of a break--real soon!!

Jaxson is doing awesome at soccer! He loves playing with all the kids and he does a good job listening to coach Presten! He is also doing a great job riding his bike. He can now ride all the way to park!

Presten and I are starting to train for our rollerblading marathon in September. Think we can make it?? My sister and I finished it about 4-5 years ago, Presten didn't quite make it--so our goal this time is that we ALL get across the finish line!:) I think we can do it!!

I have been spending a lot of evenings at the church doing interviews for a new youth paster. I am hoping that we have someone identified really soon. It has been a great to be involved, it just requires a lot of commitment.

Well back to reality tomorrow! We hope that you have a great week too!!

Two Crazy Weeks!

I know we missed a week!:)

Last weekend we had Paul and Shannon's Wedding. My mom came up on Friday to watch the kids because we had the rehearsal and dinner. We decided to stay in Bloomington on Friday night instead of driving all the way back home. It was really nice to be kid free for a night. Saturday morning we got up early and went and got Brugger's and coffee and ate breakfast outside. It was a gorgeous day! Then we headed over to the church so Presten could get ready for pictures.

Jaxson, Vada and my mom spent the afternoon at the park. Which was good considering we had another storm come through. My took the kids down to the bathroom until it passed. Jaxson said he wasn't scared, which was good because my mom hates storms!

The Wedding was really nice and the weather stayed nice all the way up to dinner-which by then didn't matter. We had a really good time at the reception!

We started soccer on Monday night. It was a little chaotic. We had 11 kids with their parents and some kids had both parents come -plus some of the siblings! We are trying to make things run smoother this Monday. Jaxson had Fun playing soccer with all this friends.

We had the assessor come out on Wednesday and we need a new roof AGAIN!! I think we are going to wait until Fall because we really do not want to risk anymore damage this season.

This past Friday night we went to Chris and Kristen's for Chris's birthday. Kristen had dinner catered in -which was awesome!-and then we had a bonfire. We laughed a lot! Jaxson even had a little playmate-one of the neighbors-they kept each other occupied.

Jaxson has been loving riding his bike up and down sidewalk. He is doing really good! He has been playing a lot with Dianna. Yesterday I asked her if she was done with school and she said, "yep now I can play with Jaxson everyday!"

Vada is still movin and grovin! She has been sleeping a lot! We are really hoping that a tooth will break through soon because she has just not been acting like herself.

Presten and I are home this week so we are looking forward to the time off! My parents and sister are coming up on Friday for the weekend. My dad's birthday is on Saturday so we are going to celebrate his birthday and Father's Day.

We'll time for supper! We are trying out our new rotisserie on the grill!

I feel like this week just flew by~yet last Sunday seemed so long ago! Jaxson's recital went really well. We were a little unsure because right before his performance he started to have a little tantrum and would not go up there with me. Then Presten said "hey I'll go up their with you." --and he thought that was really cool--of course I went to every practice with him and he would not perform with me, but at least he did it. Presten does a pretty cute chicken dance too:)

I did a little more planting this week. I was very excited about it until the wonderful storm that we had today stomped on all our landscaping. There are more holes in the siding and everything that I planted has seen it's better days to say the least. Presten's windshield is now also spidered in two places from the hail. Our insurance company is going to love us!

Thursday night Jaxson went to watch Briac play baseball. Presten said the whole time he just wanted to get up there and play. Soccer starts in one week so we'll see how that goes. Presten and I are putting together the outlines for practice-considering we have never played or coached before-we are not too sure how it is going to go!

Saturday night we went over to one of the neighbors for a BBQ! We had a really good time. Jaxson played with two other boys from the neighborhood that are about his same age and are going to play soccer with him. Tyler he sees every week at our Wednesday morning play group, but he has not seen AJ all winter.

Today as I stated we had quite the storm. Huge hail, pouring rain, and lot of damage. Now that it is sunny Presten and Jake are working on our fire pit, hopefully they will be able to finish it up tonight.

Vada has been VERY fussy the last couple of days. She is showing all the signs of teething, but nothing has popped through yet. It better happen fast because she is stressing me out! :) When she is not screaming she has been moving, moving, moving-which also usually ends in her screaming her head off because she will either run into something or bang her head on a chair, a toy, the window..really whatever is in her way! She is just getting a banged up and with no hair it is hard to hide! She is also starting to try and stand which has ended in a couple of big collisions--she needs to slow down!

We are looking forward to having tomorrow off. I am hoping to get a lot of my garage sale items priced and ready to go! Have a Happy Memorial Day! The Bean's

Summer Grillin and Dandelions!

What a gorgeous week! We spent the whole week outside cleaning up the yard -(or should I say picking the dandelions!) , getting our garden's ready and planning our next projects. I can't even count how many times we have been at home depot in the past week! I think Jaxson thinks it is his second home! We finally got a grill today!! We had one picked out and then when we went to buy it they were out--or course. Then we went to another one and they were out!--finally today we tracked it down and two hours later Presten had it put together. We had burgers, potatoes and corn on the grill -we have been waiting to enjoy summer grillin food!! I started some of my planting, but I still have more to do. We planted our apple tree tonight too!

On Saturday Presten had Paul's Bachelor party. They went golfing and then had a BBQ at Paul's and then went out for some drinks after. He had a really good time. Jaxson, Vada and I went to Breanna's birthday party. She is the granddaughter of our new next door neighbors. Jaxson had a really good time-he did not want to leave!

Jaxson has his dance recital tomorrow night. His class is performing the chicken dance--we are going to tape it so I will try and post a clip of it next week. I think that it is going to be pretty funny.

Vada is completely on the move now! She LOVES Lexi's water dish and as soon as she sees it there is no stopping her-she is on a mission. She is sooo quick-I have changed her clothes so many times because she ends up getting soaked. Vada has also decided that she needs to be attached to me at all times! If I walk away from her she screams, if I lay her down she screams, if she hears my voice and I am not coming to get her she screams! I am hoping this is a short phase! Other than that she is doing really well.

We are suppose to have another really nice week! We can't wait! The Bean's

This is a really short clip--I have so many pictures on my camera that I did not have a lot of memory-- again, but I thought I would still add it!

Happy Mother's Day!

I can't believe that it has already been a week since our last post. We had a pretty typical week. Jaxson had dance on Monday which is coming to an end. They have their recital in two weeks--that will be pretty interesting/entertaining -I am sure. We are gearing up for soccer which starts the first Monday in June. Jaxson missed the age cut off for ECFE sports so Presten and I decided to start our own class. We have about eight 2-4 years olds who have signed up from our neighborhood and we are going to hold it at the park. Presten and I have never played soccer so it is going to be pretty interesting! We are hoping that we are not in over our heads-however, it is parent child participation so that should help.

Presten is getting a little practice with teaching because he is working with a long term sub from the Rogers Elementary School doing what is called Jr. Achievers with a second grade class. He talks with them about the community and jobs and how they work together. He is really enjoying it and he said that he is very impressed about how smart they are.

We spent many hours at the park this week. I think that Jaxson would live there if he could! He also spent a lot of time playing with Dianna (our little neighbor girl who is in kindergarten). On Thursday they played house outside for an hour. They were on a boat and Dianna was the dad and Jaxson was the son. It was pretty entertaining. This is also when Jaxson apparently thought that he was having too much fun or he was really taking the "pretend house" thing too seriously because he decided to pee outside in the grass. He thought he was pretty funny! I said "next time please come inside and go in the bathroom!:)"

Saturday night Jaxson went with Presten and then TJ, Kylie, Briac and Trenton to the Twins game. Presten said that Jaxson had so much fun watching the game and being goofy with his cousins.

Today we went over to Presten's parents to celebrate Mother's Day. Jim and Ella came home this week. To give an update on them-Ella was continually tested for the infection and everything now came back negative and she went home on Friday with a clean bill of health! Praise God! Jim-had a little more excitement than he probably would of liked. They still were not able to inflate his lung. There were two holes in it so his right lung so it was completely flat. On Monday they did surgery and took out the top piece of his right lung. He came home from the hospital on Wednesday, but he is still pretty sore. They came over to Vickie and Steve's today so it was really good to see him. Ella was wide awake and alert and is as cute as ever!

Vada is on the MOVE! She actually just started crawling forward today! When she wants something she goes after it. She is just getting the hang of it -but it won't be long before she is all over the place!

We are getting ready to get in the garden! This week looks like it should be an okay week weather wise. We hope everyone has a great week! The Bean's

Here is a little video of Vada she is laughing all the time--we hope it makes you smile!
