This week we were busy continuing with all our projects. We love to make new ones for ourselves all the time!! Presten painted Vada's room on Wednesday......WHY??? Because we decided that she needed a PINK room!:) It looks soooo pretty! Next project...the BATHROOM! We are finally starting on it. Presten and Jake are working today on getting the sheetrock in --at least what we can get up without the shower in. We are hoping that by the end of May we will be pretty close to done. Then hopefully we can paint downstairs, paint the bathroom upstairs, seal the driveway, stain the deck and the list goes on and on and on!!! Oh the joys of being a home owner! :) At least the whole week was not a total wash and we were able to get out and play some. Gotta love our new little Jeff Gordon! Jaxson had fun running around in his little outfit that my dad found for him. Last Sunday we were out in practically shorts and today we had our winter coats on! We took Jaxson and Vada for a bike ride in the bike carrier. Vada did really well in it. Saturday night we had another movie night. We watched Ratatouille. I do not always get into animated movies, but I thought that this one was really good. I would watch it again. Today we did the CROP Hunger walk. The walk raises money for our local food shelf CAER; in addition to providing resources for people around the world who are suffering. We walk because they walk. There was a really good turnout despite the cooler than normal temperatures. We should find out next week how much was raised. Jaxson has been a little a sweetheart this week. I think that he must of decided that it is really no fun to be in timeout all the time. I think that it also helped to be able to get some fresh air and get some of his energy out. What a difference a week makes! Vada had her six month appointment this week. Jaxson was a trouper~our appointment was at 9 and we did not see the doctor until 10:30! The doctor felt sooo bad~but it was a really long wait! She is a very healthy~she weighs 17 lbs! She is in the 85th percentile for weight and 75 percentile for length. The most exciting news that the Doctor did not hear the heart murmur. She will continue to listen for it, but hopefully it has closed up.
Vada has really been cracking us up this week. She wants to be part of the group all the time. When we are at dinner she has to be at the table. She will be in her exersaucer screaming at us and then we will get two feet away from her and she will start laughing at us. She just wants to be next to us! She is so funny!
We hope that everyone is doing well. Have a great week! The BEAN'S

This week was a pretty typical week. Jaxson had dance on Monday night and Presten had his Missions committee meeting at church on Thursday. Jaxson and I have been itching to start gardening so on Wednesday we decided to plant some seeds. He taking good care of them and making sure that we remember to check on them. He is having a hard time understanding why there are not flowers yet, but hopefully they will be here soon! My lilies outside are starting to show some green so that is exciting! He is such a good helper!
Friday night Donnie and Michelle took us out for dinner. Donnie has worked with Jake for 10+ years and is one of Jake's good friends and this is also where Jake is living currently. Presten helped Donnie get a job at Wells Fargo --which he is really enjoying. They wanted to take us out to dinner to thank Presten for his help. They were not taking no for an answer!:) We had a wonderful dinner at Timberlodge. Jake, however, turned into the babysitter! Donnie and Michelle also have a little boy Mason that is just about 3 weeks older than Jaxson. As long as Jake was already watching three he invited Val over with her two boys. Easton is a little younger than Jaxson and then her older boy Robby is around four I believe. 5 kids total!! Jake fed them supper, played with them and then turned a movie on for them to wind down. When we got back to the house -Vada had fallen asleep on Jake. It was pretty cute. He did a great job! Thanks Uncle JAKE!
Saturday morning Jaxson and I got up and headed down to Roseville to meet Erin and Kendall. Erin and I went to college together and she has a little girl that just turned 3 in March. We met at the Roseville play area. This was great because they could run around and we could chat. Then we had lunch in the food court and then headed back home. It was so great to see them. Hopefully next time we can meet at a park outside and have a picnic lunch!
Saturday night we watched the movie Enchanted. If you haven't seen it--rent it! I have been hearing about this movie for awhile, but just hadn't gotten a chance to see it. I think that it is my new favorite movie! It is super cute!
Sunday--Finally a SUNNY Day!! We are spending the day working on our 10 projects that we have going on around here. I swear they are never ending!!
Vada is movin and groovin! She is getting everywhere that she wants to go by scooting and rolling. Daddy had to put up the gate for stairs! She is so funny-she always makes her way over the Jaxson's toys-then she tip the basket over so that she can get the toys out. Sometimes Jaxson will help her get them out so she doesn't dump them on herself. She has been eating apples, bananas and sweet potatoes and she is doing great with all of them. She has been pooping now daily --I think from the solid food. About half of them are explosions!! I guess that is what I get for barely having to change a diaper for 3 months! At least she is a little more comfortable though.
Jaxson has been a little turd this week. He is 2 going on 13!! I swear he spent half the week in timeout. Everything is NO--The worst night was when I had to take his toys away and he didn't get any stories read to him at bedtime. He felt so bad--poor little guy--Presten thought we scared him for life. However, he has been a tad better since then --but apparently he wants to be Mr. Independent and that includes not listening mom and dad too!
Also I been adding recipes to the food blog --We eat a lot of chicken so there are a lot of chicken recipes.!
Have a great week~and ENJOY the SUNSHINE!! The BEAN'S
We had a bit of a crazy week! Presten found on Tuesday that he was getting audited at work on Thursday. I didn't really see him for three days because he was so busy making sure everything was set. He passed with flying colors! There was only about 10 stores out of 100 that passed so far being in the 90th percentile and his was one of them so he was pretty excited. Thursday was my birthday -I didn't really request a snow storm, but apprentaly that is what I got!! We decided not to venture to far and just went to Major's for dinner. Presten took Friday off which was really nice. He also has been very excited about his new glasses~talking about them all the time! If you haven't already heard!
Friday night Kylie, Briac and Trenton came over. Jaxson LOVES it when they come over! Kylie read stories to Jaxson, they watched a little scooby doo and played with the toys.
Saturday we celebrated Tyler's 13th Birthday!! Amber and Jim had a really nice party for him. Amber only has about 7 days left to her due date~she is READY! We can't wait! Jaxson had fun chasing Tyler and Alexis around-trying to wrestle with them and hiding from them.
Sunday my parents and sister came up from Rochester to take us out for lunch for my birthday!~and my sister's. Kali joined us which was really nice. We went to Dave and Buster's in Maple Grove. They brought up a carrot cake from Daube's! It is an awesome bakery. It reminded us of our wedding cake-we can't wait for the leftovers. Jaxson had fun playing games, winning tickets and running around.
Vada is starting to eat a little more. I gave her some pureed cantalope and bananas on Saturday which she was not really too sure about. I made some applesauce on Satuday which I froze in ice cube trays for her. I gave her some rice cereal and applesauce this morning and she ate it all up. I guess isn't into anything too complex yet! She is starting to be able to sit up by herself a little better. However, once she starts to get excited her arms are moving all over the place and she tips over. She is rolling all over the place-she definately gets where she wants to go! Dad is going to have to put the gate up today -she is just moving too much!
Off to do some of the never ending laundry!!!!! Have a great week!!! The Bean's
Friday night we took Jaxson to his first concert....THE DOODLEBOPS!!! It was quite exciting! Vada went to grandma and grandpa Patnodes for the night and we headed down to the Excel. We arrived in plenty of time to stop at Cossetta's for dinner ---always a must when we are in St. Paul! We had great seats we were in the lower level just three rows up! There were so many little doodleboppers there ~it was pretty funny~! Jaxson sang and danced in his new doodlebops shirt-He actually loved it so much that this morning was the first time that we even got him to take it off since Friday. After sleeping in it and wearing it for two days we finally convinced him that it needed to be washed! By the end of the night he was pretty worn out. We had gone to visit some girls that used to work at St. David's on Friday morning. One of them has a little girl that is just a couple months younger than Jaxson and he ran and ran with her -so by 8-9 o'clock he started to show that he was ready for bed! Vada did really well at grandma Vicky's. Grandma said she was a little fussy when she got hungry and when she was getting tired. She likes to kick her legs hard on the floor when she wants something and it was no different for them! --but other than that she had lots of smiles and sounds for them. Saturday late afternoon we went over to Stacy and Darrin's for their take down the slide party...Except by the time we got there the slide was already taken down and there was just one small load left. I guess we got there at the right time!:) Stacy and Darrin got a little four wheeler -which Jaxson had so much fun driving around the yard. --He can't wait to go back! We are enjoying the rain today! Hopefully it will wash away all the sand and grit. My birthday is this week so we are looking forward to all the celebrating!! We hope that everyone also has a wonderful week! The Bean's
